Thousands of revelers throng Trafalgar Square to celebrate New Year Eve. Revelers welcome the New Year to the sound of Big Ben’s famous chimes at Trafalgar Square, home to one of the world’s most famous New Year’s Eve parties.

Access: At the bottom of St Martin’s Lane and Charing Cross Road south of London’s West End, and immediately west of The Strand, overlooking Whitehall leads down to Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament. Through Admirality Arch from its south-west corner, the Mall leads up to Buckingham Palace.
By Rail: You can get access to Trafalgar Square by Leicester Square (Northern & Piccadilly lines) and Charing Cross (mainline rail, Northern & Bakerloo lines).
By Car: It is not advisable to get in by car because parking is extremely difficult in the area (let alone the congestion charge operating now in London).
By Bus: You can get in Trafalgar Square by bus as most routes in central London (including night buses) go through it.
