With plans for future public access at intervals, Clarence House, the official London residence of the Prince of Wales was thrown open to the public in 2003 from Aug.16 through Oct.17. The house has undergone large renovation and was the London home of the Queen Mother until her death in 2002. Official engagements were undertaken on five rooms on the ground floor. Visitors can also see Queen Mother’s collection of art and furniture remains, with examples of Faberge, English porcelain and silver, and works by John Piper.
