Attractions - Kensington Palace
Extended by William and Mary in 1702, this Jacobean building became the residence of Queen Anne, King George I and King George II. Queen Victoria who was born here, remained until she was 18. Today’s Royal Family members inhabit parts of the palace as a private residence. Diana, Princess of Wales, in recent years was the best known occupant who occupied apartments in the north-west part of the Palace from 1981 to 1997. Public can get a view of the State Apartments and the Royal Dress Collection, including dresses worn by Queen Elizabeth II and Diana.
