Home of the Royal Family for more than 900 years, Windsor Castle is one of the world’s largest and oldest inhabited castles. The castle covers some 13 acres which was largely rebuilt by George IV. St. George’s Chapel and the Albert Memorial Chapel are open for visitors. Many additional attractions are within the Castle complex. Regular exhibitions of treasures from the Royal Library are mounted in the Drawings Gallery. Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, a miniature built to perfection is another popular feature. Burial place of 10 sovereigns, home of the Order of the Garter, and the setting for many Royal weddings is the 14th century St. George Chapel. Frogmore House which is nearby on the Windsor Estate is an attractive country residence with strong ties to Queen Charlotte, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary.
