The Clockmaker’s Museum is the property of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers established in 1813 and opened for public visit from 1873. Administered by its educational charity, the museum was again reconstructed to narrate the story of the “Clockmakers of London.” The museum has invaluable collection of clocks, watches, portraits and tools and the most popular object among them is the 5th Marine Timekeeper of John Harrison. Open through out Monday to Friday from 9:30am till 4:30pm, the museum is located at Guildhall Library, Aldermanbury. The museum is however, close on public holidays. The entry to the museum is free via the Guildhall Yard.
Around the Guildhall Yard, you can also visit the Guildhall Library, the Medieval Guildhall and its crypt, Guildhall Art Gallery, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Wren Church of St. Lawrence Jewry.
