Since the early 19th century the Sir John Soane’s Museum has been opened for the public at No. 13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The house, museum and library of Sir John Soane feature all the useful records and information which can be of great help to the people who are professionally or non-professionally interested in architecture, painting and sculpture. Since 1806, when he was appointed as the Professor of Architecture at the Royal Academy, Sir John Soane had been collecting invaluable books, casts and models which will greatly benefit the students for their studies. In 1833, an Act of Parliament was negotiated by Soane for preserving the collectibles related to architectural study in the house.
