Opened on 22 June, 1900, the Wallace Collection is reputed of being one of the finest national museums featuring a family collection of finest masterpieces of art. The collection was handed over to the museum for public in the year 1897 by Lady Wallace, widow of Sir Richard Wallace. The visitors will are surprised by the antique collection of items. Among its valuable displays are the collections of French pictures of 18th century, best porcelain and furniture of the world, remarkable paintings belonging to 17th century and a superb collection of armory. The Wallace Collection stands at Hertford House, Manchester Square. It is opened for the public from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. for daily visit. On Sundays, the museum is open from 12:00pm till 5:00pm.
