Parks - Green Park
Green Park inside the Buckingham Palace is the second most popular parks frequented by visitors. The popularity of this park is such that on Saturdays and Sundays visitors can hardly move due to large number of people standing outside Buckingham Palace gates. At the Palace gate you will witness people trying to enter the Palace while driving car through the gates or just landing with parachute like it happened before. Built in 1703 and bought by King George III sixty years later on, the Palace became a permanent residence of Kings and Queens after King George IV commissioned reconstructing in 1824. To accommodate the needs of the court and their families, it was “updated” twice. The Royal flag flying over the east front indicates that Her Majesty the Queen is inside. During August and September, visitors are allowed to see the interior of the Palace.
